Abuela (portrayed by Linda MacKinnon) is a minor character in the horror-comedy film Feast II: Sloppy Seconds. She is the grandmother of the Mexican midget wrestlers-turned-keysmiths, Thunder and Lightning.

History[]

When Smalltown is attacked by monsters, Thunder, Lightning and their grandmother take shelter in the brothers' keysmithing garage. They are later joined by a group of other survivors and together they try to figure out a plan to find a more secure shelter. Meanwhile, Abuela sits around drinking soda.

Later, Greg Shanks decides to dissect the corpse of one of the beasts that Thunder and Lightning had previously killed. In a hilarious yet gruesome scene, Greg examines the digestive organs of the creature, inadvertently triggering certain bodily reactions as he prods and pokes the beast's guts. He ends up making the cadaver spew vomit across the room, completely dousing Abuela. The vomit causes Abuela to slowly decompose, melting her skin and muscle tissue.

When more monsters try to break into the garage, the survivors ascend to the roof. Abuela is unable to move and has to be carried by her grandsons, but as they grab her legs, they peel off her sloughing skin. They wrap her in a burlap sack so that they can carry her without injuring her further. However, without having the vomit washed off, Abuela continues to deteriorate, becoming more skeletal over time.

Death[]

The next day, Slasher comes up with an idea to build a catapult out of materials on the roof. The plan is to launch one of the midget brothers over to the roof of the town jail so that he can unlock it from inside and allow the others entry. After the catapult is finished, Slasher decides that they need to test the contraption. Since Abuela is already as good as dead, she is volunteered by Slasher to test the device. After a brief conflict between Thunder and Lightning, Abuela is loaded onto the catapult.

Greg removes one of Abuela's rotten arms and pours her liquefied skin out of the sack to reduce the weight of the catapult's load. After the brothers have said their goodbyes, Abuela is launched by the catapult over the main street and collides with the jail wall with a splat, ending her suffering.
