Alderson (portrayed by Julian Richings) is the first casualty of the first Cube film. Appearing in the pre-title scene, Alderson does not meet any of the other Cube subjects before meeting his fate. After waking up in a white room within the Cube, the first (and last) room he enters is equipped with a rapid-action trap: a folding metallic net that swiftly swings down from the ceiling, killing Alderson without him even seeing what hit him. Seconds after the razor-wire grid has passed through him, Alderson's body collapses into a pile of cuboid chunks of flesh.
