Alex Trusk, also known as Sasha, was an important character in Cube2: Hypercube. She was a blind girl who, in spite of her apparent helplessness, was a master computer hacker of some notoriety in the computer industry. She was portrayed by Grace Lynn Kung.
History[]
Alex Trusk was an infamous computer hacker who was deeply involved with the development of the Hypercube. However, when she learned that IZON were putting people inside it, she attempted to blow the whistle on them. IZON sent their operatives after Trusk, but she had fled to the one place they wouldn't dare follow: into the Hypercube itself.
Alex would later meet Kate Filmore inside the Hypercube and introduced herself as "Sasha". Due to her blindness, she stood no chance of surviving the Hypercube on her own and relied almost entirely on the assistance of Kate and the other subjects to move around the structure without being hurt. After Jerry Whitehall was killed by a death-trap, the group became divided again and Sasha and Kate found themselves alone.
As time went on, Kate and Sasha found themselves going in circles, coming back into the same room over and over. What's more, the various markers and writings that had been scrawled in other rooms were starting to appear all in that one room. At this point, Sasha revealed what was happening: all of the parallel universes within the Tesseract were converging as the structure's unstable quantum environment was beginning to collapse on itself. It was at this point that Kate realised Sasha's true identity: she was Alex Trusk, the genius hacker that both Jerry and Max had discussed previously.
Death[]
As Kate frantically checked every door in the room, Simon Grady appeared in one of them and attempted to stab her. Kate wrested Simon's knife from him and stabbed him in the eye, causing him to stumble back and the door panel shut. When Kate turned back to Alex, she found Simon there too, holding a knife to the blind girl's throat. Simon looked haggard and his hair had grayed, indicating that he had spent a period of years trapped inside the Hypercube. Kate tried to convince Simon to let Alex go and she would take her place. Alex told Simon that they were all going to die anyway, and Simon seemed to agree before he grasped Alex's head in his hands and twisted, snapping her neck.
