Dr. Aloysius Wimmer is a minor character from the sci-fi slasher-horror film Jason X. He was a military scientist charged with studying the regenerative capabilities of the invincible masked serial killer Jason Voorhees. He was portrayed by body-horror director and screenwriter David Cronenberg.
History[]
In the year 2010, Jason Voorhees was being held in custody by a military research facility located beneath Crystal Lake. He was originally planned to be placed in cryogenic suspension, but Dr. Wimmer arrived at the facility with a contingent of military personnel with the intention of transporting Jason alive to a different facility better equipped to examine him. Rowan LaFontaine, the scientist who had been studying Jason up to this point, questioned Wimmer's decision to move Jason across open country and noted the inherent risk that Jason could escape and start killing again. Wimmer stated in no uncertain terms that he didn't care about the risks as his men moved into the expansive cell block where Jason was chained up.
Wimmer and his men were shocked to find that Jason had somehow escaped from his bonds, leaving the body of the guard watching him as a decoy. Using the metal chains that once bound him, Jason murdered Dr. Wimmer's security detail and then killed the doctor himself by impaling him with a metal pole through the torso.
