Amanda Waller is an anti-villain from DC Comics. A ruthless agent of the United States government, she uses whatever underhanded methods she deems necessary to ensure the security of her nation. She is given authority to oversee research on metahumans and regularly employs powered individuals to carry out important missions. She is responsible for the formation and management of Task Force X - the Suicide Squad - a band of super-powered convicts forced into carrying out dangerous missions for the government in order to reduce their sentences.
