Arnold Rundle was a minor character from Batman: The Animated Series, appearing in the episode "The Mechanic". He was an auto parts distributor who had discovered an order for parts coming from Earl Cooper, the mechanic responsible for building and maintaining the Batmobile. Going over the order, Rundle came to realise that the unusual parts could only be for the Batmobile, which had been heavily damaged while pursuing the Penguin's gang.
One of Penguin's thugs knew Rundle personally and introduced them. Rundle showed the Penguin the documents pertaining to the order for parts, revealing that they had to be for the Batmobile. The Penguin was delighted and rewarded Rundle for his work with a cheque for $400,000. He then sent Rundle away from his lair in the sewers on a duck-shaped boat. However, the current took the boat towards a whirlpool and Rundle presumably drowned when he was sucked into the vortex.
