Asad is a supporting character from the action-horror film Blade II. A warrior and nobleman of the Vampire Nation, he and Nyssa Damaskinos lead the Bloodpack, a team of vampire commandos originally trained to hunt Blade. During the events of the film, the Bloodpack are forced to work alongside Blade in order to hunt down Jared Nomak. Asad is portrayed by British actor Danny John-Jules.
History[]
Asad and Nyssa are sent by Eli Damaskinos as envoys of the Vampire Nation to make a truce with Blade. A new threat to vampires and humans has emerged in the form of the Reapers, a vampire mutation that feeds on vampires and humans alike. Meeting with the Bloodpack in Prague, Blade leads them in hunting the Reapers. While some of the Bloodpack look on Blade with disdain, Asad maintains a professional attitude throughout the mission and regards Blade honourably.
Death[]
When Blade leads the Bloodpack into the sewers of Prague, they are attacked by the Reaper horde. Asad is overwhelmed by the Reapers and torn apart.
