Bane was a minor character in the DC Animated Movie Universe. He was voiced by Adam Gifford in Batman: Hush and made a non-speaking appearance in Justice League Dark: Apokolips War.

History[]

Batman: Hush[]

Early on in the film, Bane has kidnapped the child of a wealthy Gotham socialite and is holding the boy for ransom, which he intends to use to buy more Venom for himself. When Batman confronts Bane, he notes that the villain isn't his usual eloquent self, suspecting that Bane's addiction to Venom has finally started to impact his intelligence. In the end, Batman defeats Bane after striking at his Venom supply, rendering him unconscious.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War[]

At some point prior to the film's events, Bane had been forcefully recruited into the Suicide Squad. During the film, however, Harley Quinn is leading the Squad, who agree to help Lois Lane and her resistance movement with their plan to take back the Earth from Darkseid.

When the heroes raid LexCorp to seize its portal to Apokolips, Bane and the other Suicide Squad members stay to guard the portal while Superman and his fellow heroes go through. To fight off the Paradooms, genetic hybrids of Parademons and Doomsday, Bane is given new gauntlets infused with Kryptonite, as the Parademons are vulnerable to Kryptonite due to possessing Superman's DNA. The massive horde of Paradooms arrive and the Suicide Squad fight them off. Despite their valiant efforts, Bane is eventually outnumbered by the Paradooms and is eaten alive.
