Bartok was a male Cube prisoner that appears in the 2005 science fiction film Cube Zero. Like the three other prisoners that encounter Rains, nothing was known of his life or profession before his capture and placement inside the Cube. He was portrayed by Canadian actor Richard McMillan.
Information and Death[]
At the beginning of the film, Bartok, along with fellow prisoners Jellico, Meyerhold, and Haskell, are encountered by Rains when she is pulled to the room's floor by Haskell. Bartok adds that they don't know how they got in the Cube, or anything else about them. He also says that he was testing the rooms by throwing a boot into them first, which mostly worked.
However, when he throws a boot into an amber-colored room and said that it was safe, he quickly realized that it wasn't when he entered it. Barbed-wire (razor wire) then wraps around his legs, wrists, torso, and throat; to which he weakly calls out for help. Rains then opens the door to the room that Bartok was in, to see him get cut up by the razor wire. She responds to Bartok's death by saying: "What kind of animals would do this?"
