Jesse Aaronson, also known as Bedlam, was a minor character in Deadpool 2. Based on the Marvel Comics character, he was a mutant who possessed the power to manipulate his own bio-electrical field. This allowed him to disrupt other electrical fields in his proximity, such as disabling electrical devices or distorting the bio-electric currents in living things. As such, Bedlam could alter the electrical charges passing through human brains, causing his victims to become emotionally unstable. He was portrayed by Terry Crews.
Biography[]
When Deadpool decided to protect young mutant Russell Collins from the time-travelling assassin Cable, he and Weasel hired several individuals for his new X-Force team, including Bedlam. Along with the rest of the team's recruits, Bedlam was briefed on what would be X-Force's first and only mission; to save Russell Collins from Cable by rescuing him from a prison convoy.
The plan called for the team to parachute onto the target. While on the plane, Bedlam got to know fellow X-Force member Peter, who suggested not jumping due to the strong winds before he and his team-mates jumped to Russell's rescue. However, the strong winds caused Bedlam to lose control of his parachute, sending him colliding into an incoming bus. While this likely would have killed Bedlam, he was seen recieving CPR from paramedics following the collision, so there is a possibility he may have survived.
