Profile[]
NAME: BEER GUY
OCCUPATION: BEER GUY & PART-TIME HOST AT RED LOBSTER
LIFE EXPECTANCY: LOSERS AND DORKS GO FIRST.... HE'S BOTH
Overview[]
As with the other characters' projected life expectancies, the Beer Guy's profile is not to be trusted. Not only does he not die first, but he is the second-to-last character to die in the film, but he arguably suffers a great deal more than the others.
When the bar is attacked by monsters, Beer Guy can hardly believe what is happening. After three patrons are killed, he follows Tuffy upstairs as she goes to check on her son Cody. One of the monsters smashes through a window and quickly devours Cody whole. After eating the boy, the monster then suddenly vomits up a projectile stream of green bile, dousing Beer Guy. The Bartender shoots at the monster, scaring it away, but now the remaining survivors have to tend to a devastated mother and a man covered in vomit and maggots.
Beer Guy tries to clean off the vomit and maggots at the sink, but the bile got into his nose and mouth. It has a toxic effect on him as he feels ill from then on, his veins turning black and his skin becoming sticky and mottled. As well as these ill effects, Beer Guy suffers the loss of an eye when the monsters attack again. Whilst he is looking through a narrow gap in the boards covering a window, a monster thrusts a clawed hand through and grasps his eye, pulling it out of the socket. Beer Guy struggles in agony for several seconds until the optic nerve snaps and the monster gets away with his eyeball. Beer Guy's condition only gets worse from there; as well as being poisoned by the monster's vomit, maggots start breeding in his eye socket, which he covers up with a rag.
Near the end of the film, a monster is about to break into the tavern and the Bartender entrusts Beer Guy with a Molotov cocktail. By this point, Beer Guy is practically dead on his feet and he fumbles when the time comes for him to step up. When the monster gets in, it stands tall in front of Beer Guy before bringing its arms up and smashing his head between them.
