Bennett (portrayed by Vernon Wells) is the main antagonist of the 1985 action film Commando. Formerly a member of John Matrix's elite commando unit, Bennett was dishonourably discharged because he was considered violently unstable. He would later become a freelance mercenary and planned to take revenge on Matrix.
History[]
Bennett gathered a group of mercenaries who hired themselves out to Arius, the deposed former president of Val Verdes. Together, they planned to blackmail John Matrix by kidnapping his daughter Jenny and forcing him to help Arius take back his country. Of course, Bennett never had any intention of letting Jenny go and planned to kill her whilst Matrix carried out his job. Matrix never made it to Val Verdes, however, and he hunted down each of Bennett's cohorts and killed them all.
Death[]
When Matrix attacked Arius' island villa, Bennett went to kill Jenny but found that she had escaped from her locked room. He followed her down into the boiler room beneath the main house and it was there that he fought against Matrix in their final showdown. Though wounded and having the use of only one arm, Matrix defeated Bennett by throwing a large metal pipe at him. The pipe impaled Bennett and punctured the boiler behind him, causing steam to vent through it and Bennett.
