Bill Brown was one of the main characters of the slasher horror film Friday the 13th. He was one of several young people hired by Steve Christy to help renovate Camp Crystal Lake in 1979. He was portrayed by Harry Crosby.
Biography[]
In the summer of 1979, Bill was given a job as a counselor at Camp Crystal Lake by Steve Christy. On Friday, June 13th, Bill and the rest of the counselors were hard at work renovating the abandoned camp. After Steve went into town to buy some more supplies, the counselors had lunch and relaxed for a while by the lake. Shortly after, Bill killed a snake that had gotten into Alice Hardy's cabin.
As a storm hit the lake that night, Bill, Alice and Brenda got comfortable in the main cabin, playing Strip Monopoly, smoking weed left by Marcie Stanler, and drinking beer. As the storm got worse Brenda left to go to bed, followed shortly by Bill, who went to check the generator. Seeing the machine was fine, Bill went back to the main cabin, where Alice told him she thought she heard Brenda scream and that the lights in the archery range turned on momentarily. Worried, Bill and Alice went to look for their fellow counselors, discovering a bloodied axe in Marcie's bed and finding all the others missing. Breaking into the locked office, Bill and Alice tried to call for help, but found the phone dead, along with the only remaining vehicle. Trying to calm the increasingly distraught Alice, who by this point was ready to walk back to town, Bill told her they should wait for Steve's return in the main cabin.
Death[]
While Bill and Alice waited for Steve the power went out, necessitating Bill to go check on the generator. Telling Alice to stay behind, Bill headed for the generator shed and found the machine out of gas. As he went to work refueling Bill was attacked and killed by Pamela Voorhees, who had killed all the other counselors as well. Alice later found Bill's body pinned to the door of the generator shed with arrows, his throat slashed.
