Bill Freeburg was a supporting character in the slasher crossover Freddy vs. Jason. He was a quintessential high-school stoner who was regularly getting high on dope. He was portrayed by Kyle Labine.
History[]
In 2003, the small town of Springwood was once again plagued by the demonic Freddy Krueger. Unable to kill directly because the kids of Springwood had forgotten about him, Freddy had managed to resurrect the undead murderer Jason Voorhees and was using him as a weapon to spread fear and make Springwood remember him again. However, once unleashed, Jason was uncontrollable and began killing numerous party-goers at a rave that Freeburg had helped organise.
Freeburg was one of a few teens to survive Jason's rampage at the cornfield rave. The group were later approached by Deputy Scott Stubbs who was investigating the killings on his own since the rest of the police department were focusing on suppressing any evidence of Freddy's return to prevent mass panic. Will Rollins suggested that they could protect themselves from Freddy using a dream-suppressing drug called Hypnocil that the doctors at Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital were administering to all their patients.
Possession and death[]
When Stubbs and the teens broke into Westin Hills, Freeburg split off from the group just so he could smoke a joint. While he was under the influence, Freddy invaded his hallucinations, appearing as a pot-smoking caterpillar. The Freddypiller forced its way into Freeburg's mouth, allowing Freddy to possess him.
Controlling Freeburg's body, Freddy found the stock of Hypnocil pills and dumped them down a drain. When Jason arrived at the hospital, Freddy filled two syringes full of sedative and then confronted Jason directly while Lori, Will and the others escaped. Freddy injected Jason with the sedatives and knocked him out, but before the masked maniac succumbed, he slashed Freeburg in half at the waist with his machete.
