Brandon is a minor character from Season 10 of The Walking Dead. He was the son of two Saviors who had been killed during the Militia-Savior war. Following the war's conclusion, Brandon relocated to Alexandria with his new adoptive parents. While he seemed to have adjusted to life in the Coalition over the years, he secretly harboured a deep hatred for Rick Grimes and idolized the Saviors' leader, Negan Smith.
History[]
Nothing is known about Brandon's life before the apocalypse. Following the outbreak, he was brought up amongst the Saviors and came to rever the group's leader Negan. After the Saviors were defeated by Rick Grimes and his Militia, Brandon relocated to the Alexandria-Safe Zone where he would live for the next seven years. Though he seemed to have adjusted well, Brandon secretly despised Rick and everything he stood for.
Following several incidents around the Coalition territories, Negan escaped from Alexandria with the help of Carol Peletier. Brandon followed Negan out of the safe-zone, finding him near a creek. At first, it seemed that Brandon was prepared to attack Negan, but then laughed and shared his canteen with him. The young man told Negan about how Rick had killed his parents during the war and mentioned how he had heard that Negan had killed Rick's son Carl. Negan was quick to correct him, saying that he never hurt Carl and would never kill a child. Brandon appeared to understand, stating "We're both Negan". A short while later, while Negan was fending off a walker, Brandon - instead of helping Negan - busied himself with wrapping some barbed wire around a baseball bat that he wanted to give to Negan to replace his lost "Lucille".
Later, Negan and Brandon find a dilapidated bus where a woman and her son are trying to fend off some walkers. Negan steps in and helps kill the walkers, saving the pair. Brandon is impressed by Negan's actions, moreso by how he killed the zombies than by saving the woman and child. A little later still, while Amelia and Milo are away gathering their gear, Brandon suggests to Negan that they kill the pair and take their supplies. Negan, however, is genuinely disturbed by the way Brandon idolizes the man that he used to be, instead telling him that he's going to stay with Amelia for a while and that Brandon can go and do whatever he wants as long as they never cross paths again. Brandon then leaves the bus, seemingly disappointed.
Death[]
While Negan was away collecting firewood, Brandon returned to the site of the bus where he murdered Amelia and Milo using a tire iron. Apparently, he believed that Negan was testing him somehow, to see if he had what it took to be a Savior. When Negan returned to find Amelia and her son dead, Brandon proudly admitted to their murder, believing that he had passed whatever test Negan had given him. As Brandon declared once more that he "was Negan", Negan grabbed a rock off the ground and furiously struck him in the head, knocking him down. He then continued to bash Brandon's skull in several times, killing him.
