Buldeo is the secondary antagonist of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book.

History[]

He is first seen after he and two other soldiers return from killing for sport. Soon he witnesses Shere Kahn attack the camp. When Mowgli's father tells him to shoot the tiger, he instead runs off.

Years later, he knocks Mowgli unconscious and steals the dagger he retrieved. Soon he and Boone see it and believe there is more treasure. Days later, he and Tabaqui meet the two rogue soldiers at a tavern. They soon plan to steal treasure. Soon he and his fellow thieves attack the Colonel and his family. He soon attempts to kill Dr. Plumford but gets stopped by Mowgli. He soon attacks the Colonel and knocks him out.

That night, He warns Boone not to hunt Shere Kahn due to knowledge of the tiger.

After Harley and Tabaqui meet gruesome ends, he ends up being shot in the leg by a paranoid Wilkins and threatens to kill him, only for Shere Kahn to beat him to it.

Death[]

Upon entering the lost city, Buldeo prepares to kill Mowgli and corners him in a crypt. Buldeo then accidentally shoots a plate keeping sand in place and triggers a booby trap. Due to his leg wound, he is unable to escape in time and finds himself entombed within a narrow chamber that rapidly fills up with sand.
