Caleb Warrens is a supporting antagonist in The Purge: Election Year and an overarching antagonist of The Purge franchise. He is the President of the United States and leader of the New Founding Fathers of America, the ruling institution responsible for establishing the Annual Purge in which each year, all crime is rendered legal for a 12-hour period, permitting the population to cleanse themselves of impure emotions by partaking in acts of violence without legal consequence. Warrens is portrayed by Raymond J. Barry.

History[]

In 2040, the rule of the NFFA is threatened when Senator Charlie Roan, an anti-Purge advocate, announces her candidacy for President. Warren and the NFFA discuss what to do about Roan, deciding that she needs to be eliminated. In order to ensure Roan is dealt with, they revoke the rule that protects Level 10 government officials during Purge Night.

The NFFA infiltrates the Senator's security and during Purge Night, Roan's house is attacked by military forces sent by Warrens. Together with the rest of the NFFA, Warrens spends the Purge Night at the cathedral "Our Lady of Sorrow".

Unbeknownst to them, an anti-Purge rebel group led by Dante Bishop (the "Bloody Stranger" from the first Purge film) is planning to assassinate Minister Owens at the church.

Death[]

After Senator Roan is kidnapped and taken to the cathedral, the NFFA intend to sacrifice her. During the ceremony, Warrens steps up before the congregation to carry out Roan's sacrifice. He takes a blade and is about to slit the bound Senator's throat when he is suddenly shot through the head and killed by Marcos Dali who, along with Leo Barnes, Joe Dixon and Laney Rucker, had infiltrated the church to rescue Roan.
