Clifton (portrayed by Luke Mably) is a member of Major Henry West's platoon in 28 Days Later. Like most of the soldiers in the group, he did not oppose West's decision to sexually enslave any female survivors of the Rage outbreak, although he didn't enjoy the prospect as much as fellow soldiers Bedford and Mitchell.
When Jim was taken into the woods for execution, Clifton was charged with guarding Selena and Hannah as the other soldiers prepared to have their way with the girls. However, in the night, Jim returned to Worsley House and released Mailer, the infected soldier chained up in the yard. Mailer smashed through a window and attacked Clifton, vomiting blood in his face and infecting him with the Rage virus. The infected Clifton then joined Mailer in rampaging through the mansion, pursuing his former friends and even mauling Bedford to death.
Fate[]
It is uncertain what became of Clifton following the deaths of his former comrades. In all likelihood, he would have starved to death along with the rest of the Infected population of Great Britain.
