Clone 99 (voiced by Dee Bradley Baker) was a minor supporting character in the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, appearing in episodes "Clone Cadets" and "ARC Troopers". He was a clone of Jango Fett who was bred to be a soldier in the Grand Army of the Republic. However, due to unspecified complications with the growth process, 99 was born deformed and with several genetic defects. As such, he was considered unsuitable for combat and relegated to maintenance and janitorial duties in the cloning facilities on Kamino.

During his time on Kamino, 99 grew attached to many of the clone cadets, particularly those who would make up Domino Squad. In fact, it was 99 who was able to prevent Hevy from abandoning the squad and encourage him to treat the other squad members as a team rather than trying to stand alone. Thanks to 99's inspiring words, Hevy led Domino Squad to victory in their final training session. In gratitude, Hevy gave 99 his graduation medal. Sadly, Hevy would never come back to reclaim it as he was killed during a mission in the Rishi Maze.

Death[]

When the Confederacy of Independent Systems launched an invasion of Kamino in 21 BBY, 99 did his part and provided the more battle-capable clone troopers with support by making ammunition runs. When the droid army made its way past the Tipoca City hangars, 99 led clone commanders Rex and Cody, as well as several young trainees, to the armoury where they stocked up on additional munitions. They then made a final defensive stand in the barracks, flanking the droid forces by using the bunk alcoves as sniper positions.

After the squad's supply of grenades was used up, 99 turned to collect more. However, he was repeatedly shot in the back by battle droids and killed. When the battle ended in Republic victory, the surviving clones honoured 99, acknowledging him as one of their own.
