Conner Kent is a superhero from DC Comics and one of several characters to bear the name "Superboy". This particular Superboy was genetically engineered by Lex Luthor following the apparent death of Superman in his battle against the monster Doomsday. Created from the combined DNA of both Superman and Luthor, Superboy was initially used by Luthor to replace the lost Superman, fighting crime to gain the adoration of the people so that Luthor could improve his own public image. Ultimately, Superman would return and Conner would discover the truth behind his creation, abandoning Luthor and joining Superman's family as well as becoming a member of the Teen Titans.
DC Animated Movie Universe[]
Superboy first appeared in Reign of the Supermen, in which he was voiced by Cameron Monaghan. He was cloned from a combination of Superman's and Lex Luthor's DNA, and was used by Luthor to improve his public image in the months following Superman's apparent death. While Superboy seemed to enjoy the superhero lifestyle, his ego and youthful impulsiveness would often land him in trouble. He also greatly disliked Luthor, but had little choice but to obey him. This would change when Superman returned from the grave.
Superboy made only a minor appearance in Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. When Darkseid invaded Earth, he was one of the few members of the Teen Titans to survive the attack. Two years later, he, Steel and Shazam attempted to destroy an Apokoliptian Planet-Reaper, but had to contend with an army of Paradooms. Superboy was seized by a Paradoom and had his neck snapped.
