Cyrax is a yellow-clad cyborg ninja from the Mortal Kombat video games. Once a human ninja, his Lin Kuei masters forced him to undergo cybernetic enhancement and turned him into a programmable slave. He appears in the second MK film Annihilation, but like many of the characters in the film, his game history is eschewed.

Cyrax leads an Outworld hunting party to a U.S. Special Forces military research lab to hunt down and kill Sonya Blade and her partner Jax Briggs. When he engages the two agents in battle, Cyrax attacks by launching a web of acid from his torso, but Jax's new cybernetic arms are resistant to the substance. Sonya manages to take down Cyrax with an incendiary attack, but after being downed, Cyrax triggers a self-destruct device. Sonya and Jax narrowly escape the lab before Cyrax explodes and destroys the whole facility.
