Dan Carter (portrayed by Michael Schroeder) was a minor character in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. He and his girlfriend Judy were camping out in the woods surrounding Crystal Lake in the summer of 1997. As the night got colder, Dan left the tent in order to gather more firewood. While chopping wood with a machete, he was ambushed by Jason Voorhees who impaled him through the back with a bare hand. After killing Dan, Jason took Dan's machete for himself.
