Dr. Drake (portrayed by John Short) was a minor character in Star Trek: Enterprise. Appearing in the Season 2 episode "Regeneration", he was a member of a United Earth scientific research team that had discovered alien debris in the Arctic Circle. Among the debris were two alien bodies, both cybernetically augmented.
The cyborg bodies were moved to one of the buildings on the research site where the scientists observed the nanotechnology inside the bodies regenerating their cell structures. Dr. Moninger wanted to have the bodies moved to somewhere more secure, considering that the creatures might be hostile if they awoke. Drake disagreed, stating that they had no reason to assume hostility, despite the aliens' unsettling appearance.
Moninger's fears turned out to be well-founded; while alone with the cybernetic creatures, one of them woke up and attacked him. Drake and Rooney were outside when they heard screaming and phase rifle fire coming from the lab and ran to investigate. When they entered, they found Moninger on the floor, exhibiting signs of an infection; black lines moving under his skin which was turning grey and mottled. Both Drake and Rooney fell victim to the cyborgs as well.

As a Borg drone, Drake took part in the assimilation of his team's transport vessel. While on a path to Borg space, the transport attacked a Tarkalean vessel, abducting and assimilating its crew before being intercepted by the Enterprise NX-01. The transport would escape, but would encounter Enterprise again hours later. By that time, Drake's assimilation was complete. He was shot and killed by Captain Archer when he and Lt. Reed boarded the assimilated transport.
