Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez was a recurring character in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She was an Inhuman from Colombia who possessed the power to move at super-speed, with the condition that she always returned to her starting space. After helping S.H.I.E.L.D. defeat the Inhuman known as Hive and signing the Sokovia Accords, she became a full-time member of the organization.

In an alternate timeline, Elena was one of the few members of S.H.I.E.L.D. to survive the destruction of Earth in 2018 after the planet had supposedly been shattered by Daisy Johnson. She and the remnants of humanity survived inside a reinforced bunker known as the Lighthouse, which would be converted into a space station following the arrival of the Kree. Elena decided to set off on her own as the Kree took over the Lighthouse, refusing to end up as a Kree slave. Melinda May implored her to stay, saying that there was still hope that Robin Hinton's visions would come true, but Elena stated that her hope had died along with Alphonso Mackenzie when the Earth was shattered.

Elena was confined to the Lighthouse by the Kree and was killed after attempting to escape in a shuttle. However, the Kree leader Kasius had her resurrected using an infusion of Kree blood so that he could interrogate her for information and extract her DNA for use in his Inhuman breeding program. Over the next several decades, Elena would be killed and resurrected over and over again whenever Kasius needed information on S.H.I.E.L.D..

In 2091, Elena's past self arrived on the Lighthouse along with her friends from S.H.I.E.L.D.. Having heard tales of this event, Kasius resurrected Elena once again to ask her what her old comrades' plans were. Elena remembered that her 2017 self was on the Zephyr One flying towards the Lighthouse at that very moment, and relayed the news to Kasius.

Elena was then found by her younger self, who was shocked to see that she was alive. She informed her past self that they did, in fact, make it back to their own time, but that they ended up causing the destruction of Earth anyways. The younger Elena refused to believe that the future could not change, and Elena mused that she, too, believed the same thing until Alphonso Mackenzie had died. Remembering this very same conversation from her past, Elena added that she wished she could say something else, only to realize that everything she said sounded familiar. As the Kree began to make their way back to her room, she urged her past self to flee, although not before informing her that Phil Coulson was dying and that they would have to let him die if they wished to alter the future.

Kasius then entered the room and took Elena hostage, bringing her to the room where the Inhuman trial ceremonies were held. The pair were then found by Alphonso Mackenzie, who was shocked to see Elena without any arms, unaware that this was the future version of his lover. Elena smiled upon seeing Mack alive again, but her joy was short-lived as Kasius drank the Odium and slit her throat, killing her once again. Her death was avenged by Mack, who killed Kasius afterwards. The Lighthouse was then destroyed by Enoch, destroying Elena's body and preventing any further resurrections.

Ultimately, S.H.I.E.L.D. would alter the course of the future after returning to their own time. As such, this version of Elena would be erased from history as the events leading to her torturous existence on the Lighthouse never came about.
