Movie Morgue Wiki

Dr. Emmett Carson (portrayed by Tim Parati) is a minor supporting character in Season 7 of The Walking Dead. Originally a physician before the zombie apocalypse, he would retain his medical profession after the collapse while in the service of Negan and the Saviours. It is unknown how he came to be with the Saviours, though it is believed that he was once a resident of the Hilltop along with his brother Harlan.

In the episode "Hostiles and Calamities", Emmet is treating Dwight after the latter returns to the Sanctuary from looking for Sherry, his ex-wife who had been forced to marry Negan. Emmett gives his opinion that Sherry is too compassionate and thus ill-suited for life in the post-apocalyptic world. While the good doctor's back is turned, Dwight slips a note into his desk drawer. The note is a small scrap of Sherry's last letter to Dwight that reads "Goodbye. - Honey."

Death[]

Later in the episode "Hostiles and Calamities", Negan assembles his followers in the Sanctuary's furnace room. He then strikes Emmett with Lucille and shows him the note that Dwight had hidden in his desk. As Dwight had planned, Negan is brought to the conclusion that Emmett was having an affair with Sherry and had helped her escape. Emmett denies it, but Negan accuses him of lying and threatens to burn his face with a red-hot iron. The terrified Emmett then falsely confesses in hopes that Negan will spare him. However, while Negan seems to believe Emmett's confession, he then decides to kill the doctor and shoves him head-first into the furnace, burning him to death.
