Sebastian Kane (born as Wilson Turner) was a minor character in the eighth season of Smallville. He appeared in the episode "Identity" as the antagonist of the week. He was portrayed by Kyle Schmid.
Wilson Turner was a metahuman who possessed the ability to read people's thoughts via touch and could even erase select memories. He had previously used his powers to stalk and kill women, but his activities attracted the attention of LuthorCorp who incarcerated Sebastian in their Black Creek facility. After spending four years in Black Creek, he was released and recruited by Tess Mercer who wanted his help in retrieving a Kryptonian data crystal.
Wilson, changing his name to Sebastian Kane, was tasked with scanning the mind of Lois Lane, who Tess believed might know the whereabouts of the crystal. Posing as the Daily Planet's newest reporter, Sebastian introduced himself to Lois and asked her out on a dinner date. However, Lois already knew who he was as she had seen his profile amongst those of several metahumans contained on a flash drive she had previously stolen from the Luthor Mansion. During their date, Sebastian touched Lois' hand, seeing into her mind and realizing that she knew his identity.
Lois and Sebastian later drove back to the Talon where Sebastian attempted to murder Lois. Fortunately for Lois, Clark Kent arrived to save her, dashing in at super-speed to knock out Sebastian. When Clark touched him, Sebastian read his mind, discovering his secret.
Death[]
While in hospital, Sebastian was visited by Chloe Sullivan. She told him that she also knew Clark Kent's secret and was determined to make sure that secret stayed safe. At the time, Chloe was under the influence of Brainiac. When she touched Sebastian, all of Brainiac's vast knowledge flooded into his mind and overloaded his brain, triggering a stroke. Chloe then left the hospital as doctors tried to help Sebastian, but they were unable to save him.
