Wilson (voiced by Adam Baldwin) was a minor character in the animated film War of the Worlds: Goliath. He was part of a militia group defending Albuquerque, New Mexico when Earth was invaded by Martians in 1914. The Martians massacred most of the city's population, including Wilson's wife. The carnage that Wilson witnessed caused him to become mentally unhinged; he had found his wife's severed finger and kept it, believing it was speaking to him.
When Captain Eric Wells and the crew of the battle tripod Goliath arrived in New Mexico to support the local militia, they engaged Martian forces inside a canyon, narrowly defeating them, but at the cost of the lives of most of the militia. Wilson was the only militiaman left and Wells encountered him shooting the operator of a Martian tripod, emptying all of his ammunition into the creature. Though Wilson was clearly unstable, he was willing to help the Goliath crew infiltrate a factory that the Martians had occupied.
Death[]
When the Goliath crew reached the Martian-occupied factory, Wilson served as a distraction so that they could get inside. He used the last of his ammunition to get the attention of a nearby Martian tripod while Wells and his crew headed into the factory. As the alien war machine towered over him, Wilson gripped his wife's finger tightly, telling her that he was coming to join her. Wilson accepted his fate, standing with his arms opened wide as the Martian fired a heat-ray upon him and vaporised him.
