Flagstaff was a minor character in Zombieland: Double Tap. He was an intellectual apocalypse survivor who shared many personality traits with Columbus, most notably having a long list of rules to surviving in the zombie wasteland. He was portrayed by Thomas Middleditch.

History[]

Flagstaff and his partner-in-crime Albuquerque arrived at Nevada's motel while Columbus, Tallahassee and Wichita were taking temporary refuge there. During their brief time together, Columbus discovered that Flagstaff and he shared an uncanny number of similarities, such as their dress habits and their rules of survival. They eagerly compared their lists of rules with each other, with Flagstaff's including but not limited to:

  • Commandment 1: Teamwork.
  • Commandment 5: Confirm your kills.
  • Commandment 12: The world is your bathroom.
  • Commandment 16: Expect the unexpected.
  • Commandment 27: Cardiovascular fitness.
  • Commandment 45: Mind your manners.

Columbus had corresponding rules for all but Commandments 12 and 16, and quickly took a liking to Flagstaff, finally having someone else who appreciated their rules and mannerisms.

Death[]

Albuquerque had unintentionally led a group of T-800's (exceedingly tough zombies) back to Nevada's motel. As the ghouls attacked the Big Fat Death, Albuquerque and Flagstaff stepped outside to exterminate them. When they came back inside to drink at the bar, the others noticed a bite mark on Albuquerque's wrist. Flagstaff was quick to judge until Albuquerque pointed out that Flagstaff had been bitten twice while they were outside. Soon, the pair of them began violently throwing up before turning completely, attacking the others.

The two zombies chase Columbus and Tallahassee around the motel for several seconds. After Tallahassee managed to put down Albuquerque, Flagstaff continued to chase Columbus until he pinned him down. Before he could infect Columbus, Flagstaff was put down by Wichita, who shot him in the head at point blank range.
