Frost is a minor character from the survival-horror series The Walking Dead. Appearing in Season 11, he was a member of the Wardens, a group of apocalypse survivors that Maggie Rhee joined some time after leaving the Hilltop. After his settlement was destroyed by the Reapers, Frost joined Maggie when she returned to Alexandria.
History[]
Nothing is known about Frost's life before the zombie apocalypse. What is known about him is that several years into the outbreak, he had joined a survivors' colony known as Meridian. However, Meridian was attacked and conquered by a group of raiders calling themselves the Reapers. Frost and a few others escaped and would follow Maggie Rhee as she returned to her former community of Alexandria, arriving at the climax of the Coalition's conflict with the Whisperers.
By the end of the Whisperer War, Hilltop had been all but burned to the ground and Alexandria had suffered severe damage after a horde of walkers had moved through the town. With the residents suffering from a severe food shortage, Maggie decided to lead a group back to Meridian in order to retrieve much-needed supplies. Frost was among those that joined the excursion.
After the group managed to make their way out of a subway system, they approached the road leading to Meridian only to be attacked by the Reapers. The group scattered, but Frost wound up being captured and was imprisoned at the Reapers' base camp. Some time after Frost was captured, Daryl Dixon was locked up in a cell opposite him. In order to keep the Reapers from realizing that he had been working with the Wardens, Daryl feigned ignorance, pretending not to recognize Frost when Leah Shaw questioned him.
Death and reanimation[]
In the episode "On the Inside", Frost was tortured by the Reapers for information. Having just been welcomed into their ranks, Daryl was allowed to question Frost on the whereabouts of his allies while Pope and Leah watched. In order to make his efforts look convincing, Daryl was forced to cut off one of Frost's fingers. Frost gave up the last known location of Maggie and Negan and so Leah and Daryl took a team out to find them, leaving Frost with Pope.
While Daryl and Leah were gone, Pope continued to torture Frost for more information, but ultimately ended up killing him. When Daryl returned to the base that night, he saw that Frost had reanimated as a walker and had been chained to a tree.
In the episode "No Other Way", the Reapers are defeated and Frost is presumed to have been put down. The act is not seen on-screen, but it is unlikely that his friends would have allowed him to remain a walker forever.
