Goro is a recurring villain in the Mortal Kombat video game series who has also appeared in various related media. He is the prince of the four-armed Shokan race and a general in the armies of the Outworld Empire. Throughout the franchise, Goro is best known for being the reigning champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament for 500 years before his winning streak was finally broken by the Shaolin monk Liu Kang. In his various film incarnations, however, he is defeated by other characters.
