Goro legends

Goro is a villainous character from the Mortal Kombat video game franchise. He is also an antagonist in the animated film Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge. He is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, who also voiced the same character in the 1995 live-action Mortal Kombat movie.

For 500 years, the four-armed Shokan warrior Goro has stood as the reigning champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament. After winning nine tournaments in a row, a tenth victory would allow his emperor, Shao Kahn, to forcefully merge Earthrealm with Outworld.

When Earthrealm's warriors arrive at Shang Tsung's palace for the tenth tournament, Shang Tsung offers his audience some entertainment and a preview of things to come. Hit pits the captive Special Forces commander Jax Briggs against Goro, keeping them within a magical barrier so that Jax cannot escape. Jax's blows have seemingly no effect on Goro who easily overwhelms the Major, picks him up off the floor and proceeds to pull his arms off. It is only by the intervention of the thunder god Lord Raiden that Jax survives.

Death[]

When Liu Kang makes it to the final tier of the tournament, he confronts Goro in Shang Tsung's palace. Though the Shaolin monk fights valiantly, Goro proves to be too strong, easily resisting Liu Kang's attacks and countering with devastating blows. The four-armed terror prepares to do to Liu Kang what he did to Jax, but is stopped by the timely arrival of Scorpion. Scorpion teleports into the chamber behind Goro and throws his harpoon into the back of the Shokan's head. With one powerful tug, he rips out Goro's skull and spinal cord, violently ending his winning streak.
