Ivan (portrayed by Nick Bateman) is a supporting character in the 2011 grindhouse film Hobo With A Shotgun. He is one of the two sons of the Drake, the psychotic crime lord who rules the down-trodden city of Hope Town. Along with his brother Slick, Ivan helps the Drake maintain his stranglehold of the town, terrorizing the people around him and taking sadistic joy in the wanton destruction of property and lives. While every bit as cruel and destructive as his brother, Ivan is not as highly regarded by Drake who considers Slick to be his true heir.
Death[]
Towards the end of the film, the Hobo is captured by Ivan and the Plague and brought before Drake. Drake decides to execute the Hobo in front of a large gathering of people and Ivan is excited to watch the Hobo die after the Hobo had electrocuted him with a toaster and made him orgasm from it. Before the execution can commence, Abby arrives wielding a shield made from a lawnmower, including the motorized blades. She threatens to mulch Ivan to death with the lawnmower blades if Drake doesn't let the Hobo go, but Drake doesn't really care all that much and never considered Ivan to have that much potential. He does, however, grant Ivan a less gruesome death by drawing a gun and shooting him.
