Jennifer Lucas was a supporting character from the Doctor Who episodes "The Rebel Flesh" and "The Almost People". She was a 22nd century Earth acid miner who worked for the company of Morpeth Jetsan. She was portrayed by Sarah Smart.

History[]

When a solar tsunami passed over St. John's Monastery, the Gangers -clones of the contractors formed from a substance called the Flesh- became self-aware, gaining all of the knowledge and memories of their handlers. Jennifer's Ganger had developed "total recall" like her human original, meaning she could perfectly remember every detail of her life. However, this resulted in the Jennifer clone becoming psychologically unstable. The Ganger Jennifer murdered her original and intended to rally the other Gangers in a crusade to liberate all Gangers on Earth which, at that time, were regarded as mere tools for human convenience.

To help her take revenge against the humans in the factory, the Jennifer clone manipulated Rory Williams into standing up for her while the Doctor attempted to negotiate a peace between humans and Gangers. Taking advantage of Rory's compassion, she managed to trap the humans inside a room about to be flooded with acid. However, the Doctor was able to reach the humanity in the other Gangers, causing them to abandon Jennifer's plans and free everyone. Swearing to succeed, Jennifer fled to the halls as the detonation of the factory drew ever closer.

Death[]

Ganger monster

Having now become completely insane, Jennifer altered her body into a monstrous form, killing Dicken, and attempted to kill everyone else. She was killed by the Ganger Doctor, who used the sonic screwdriver to emit a pulse that destabilised the Flesh, at the same time killing himself and the Ganger Cleaves.
