John Sanders (portrayed by Mark Houghton) is a supporting character in Snakes on a Plane. He is an FBI agent who is partnered with Neville Flynn, assigned to escort Sean Jones to Los Angeles to testify against crime lord Eddie Kim.
When Hulu 1-2-1 departs from Honolulu, Hawaii, no one is aware that Eddie Kim has planted a large number of venomous snakes aboard in order to eliminate Sean, who witnessed him commit a murder. The snakes are driven crazy by a special pheromone sprayed upon the leis that the passengers are wearing. A short time into the flight, the snakes are released from their crate in the cargo hold and slither freely throughout the plane.
As the snakes run free on the plane, Sanders finds himself surrounded by them and panics, having a phobia of snakes. One of the serpents bites him on the chest, poisoning him. A short time later, after the bulk of the passengers clear out of coach, Sanders succumbs to the snake venom and dies. With his last breath, he wishes Sean and Neville good luck in surviving the disaster.
