Jules Butler is a minor character from the survival-horror series The Walking Dead. First appearing in the Season 10 premiere "Lines We Cross", she was a resident of Oceanside who aided the Coalition during its conflict with the Whisperers. Following the Whisperer War, Jules would return to Oceanside along with Luke Abrams, whom she had began a romantic relationship with.
After being absent for most of Season 11, both Jules and Luke would reappear in the episode "Faith". They encountered Aaron, Jerry, Elijah and Lydia in the woods after the four had left a renaissance fair park following a battle against some variant walkers. When Aaron asked why they were out alone so far from Oceanside, they told him that Oceanside had been taken over by the Commonwealth and that they were the only ones to escape alive.
As the group try heading for Alexandria, they are almost spotted by Commonwealth soldiers. Seeing a large herd of walkers nearby, Jules and the others cover themselves in walker guts to blend in with the horde, not being recognized by the soldiers or the undead.
In the episode "Family", Jerry and Elijah are separated from the others, pushed along by the horde as the others are forced to take shelter in an RV. During this period, Lydia is bitten on the arm while trying to reach for Elijah. She is forced to have her arm amputated before the infection can spread. After Lydia has had time to recover from the amputation, the group exit the RV and continue travelling among the horde, which is heading towards the Commonwealth.
After the east gates are opened due to variant walkers climbing the walls and attacking the guards at the gate controls, Aaron's group enter the city along with the horde. They soon reunite with their Coalition friends who are fleeing from Commonwealth soldiers, but they are all trapped within a barricaded street along with many walkers.
Death[]
In the series finale "Rest in Peace", Jules joins her friends in trying to hold off the undead horde. However, she is bitten on the arm and then swarmed. Luke tries reaching for her, but the horde pulls her back and envelops her, completely devouring her.
