Juliet Capulet is the female protagonist of the 1968 romantic tragic film Romeo & Juliet, based on the 1597 play by William Shakespeare. She is protrayed by late Olivia Hussey.
History[]
During the summertime in Verona, Italy during the period times, Juliet has been living with the Capulet family during the time. Romeo Montague then eventually falls in love with Juliet at her house at night, and they spent the night with each other during that time. They both were eventually married, unaware for her parents.
Death[]
On the night before the wedding, Juliet drinks poison and lies in a coma for over 40 hours. Her parents scream in despair over her apparent death and the funeral was held at the churchyard, unkowning for Romeo. Romeo came to the grave and finds out about her presumed death. Belive that Juilet to be dead, he posioned himself and falls down in the floor, dead. Juliet wakes up and discovers that Romeo had died. Her final words were: "Then I'll be brief, o happy dagger! This is thy sheath; there rest and let me DIE." She then stabs herself in the chest with a dagger, meaning and dies with him.
Soon after the deaths of Romeo and Juilet, a funeral was held by Montague and the Capulet families, those who unfortunately don't get along with each other. The two families were severely punished by the Prince of Verona as they all went inside with the corpse of Romeo and Juliet.
