Kai is the antagonist of the movie Kung Fu Panda 3.
History[]
A long time ago, Kai and Oogway were best friends. One day, while they were exploring, they were attacked and Oogway was left wounded. Days later, Kai was able to find a village of pandas. There they were able to heal the tortoise. They were also able to teach him about chi usage. Kai, however, became bitter he wasn't able to be included in. After the pair fought, Oogway banished Kai to the Spirit World.
500 years later, Kai challenges Oogway to a rematch. Despite possessing the same experience, Kai manages to steal Oogway's chi and defeat him. After that, he returns to the mortal realm.
Later, Kai encounters Po and the Furious Five. They soon battle against his Jombies. Later, Crane and Mantis are sent to find Kai alongside Bear, Croc and Chicken. However they are defeated and captured by the vengeful spirit.
After arriving at the Jade Palace, Kai and his jombies wreck the place and capture the remaining masters except for Tigress who goes to find Po and warn him.
Later on, he arrives at the panda village where the villagers fight back against him and his forces. Soon Po attempts to use the Wuxi Finger Hold on Kai. However, it proves fruitless as Kai is a spirit and soon fought back. Later Po recaptured Kai and used the Wuxi Finger Hold on himself, sending them both to the spirit world.
Death[]
Angered about being sent back to the spirit realm, Kai and Po fight and Kai soon gains the upper hand. Soon he begins to steal Po's chi. Meanwhile in the mortal realm, everyone begins to give Po their chi and allowing him to fight back. Soon he forms a chi dragon and breaks one of Kai's swords. Despite this, Kai is still set on stealing Po's Chi, even if it takes 500 more years. Po soon gives Kai all his chi. Kai is overjoyed until he discovers Po has too much chi and Kai soon explodes.
