"Hello, baby. Did you miss me?" - Kano
In the Mortal Kombat movie directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, Kano is portrayed by Trevor Goddard. He has allied himself with the Outworld sorcerer Shang Tsung, being promised wealth and power in exchange for luring Sonya Blade into the Mortal Kombat tournament. Sure enough, Sonya follows Kano on to Shang Tsung's ship bound for the Lost Island.
When the tournament begins, Sonya is pitted against Kano. Though Kano was ordered by Shang Tsung only to humiliate Sonya rather than kill her, he likely would have killed her regardless as he savagely attacked her with his butterfly dagger. Sonya defeated Kano by locking her legs around his head and pulling him to the ground. As Kano begged for mercy, Sonya then snapped his neck between her legs, killing him instantly.
