Ki-woong is one of the three main characters of the animated Korean horror film Seoul Station. He is the cowardly, good-for-nothing boyfriend of main protagonist Hye-sun.
History[]
Ki-woong and Hye-sun are struggling to make ends meet as neither brings in much money and Ki-woong wastes most of their earnings at internet cafés. In order to make more cash, Ki-woong attempts to sell Hye-sun's body online. Hye-sun, having previously escaped from a life of prostitution, is outraged when she finds out what Ki-woong has done and dumps him.
Later, as chaos erupts at Seoul Station, Ki-woong encounters Suk-gyu, a man claiming to be Hye-sun's father. Ki-woong takes him back to his apartment, though Hye-sun isn't there and the two are soon attacked by infected. They manage to escape from the apartment by climbing out of the bathroom window and evade the infected as they reach Suk-gyu's car, which they use to search the city for Hye-sun. Ki-woong manages to contact Hye-sun via her mobile phone, assuring her that he will find her and that they will be safe.
Death[]
Towards the film's end, Ki-woong and Suk-gyu find Hye-sun at an apartment showroom. It is there that Hye-sun reveals that Suk-gyu isn't her father, but her former pimp. As Suk-gyu tries to attack Hye-sun, Ki-woong tries to protect her by grabbing a knife from the kitchenette and attacking Suk-gyu. Suk-gyu easily overpowers Ki-woong and wrests the knife from him, using it to slit his throat. Ki-woong soon bleeds out and dies as Hye-sun watches in horror.
