Kintaro is a villainous character from the Mortal Kombat video games and a minor antagonist in the animated film Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms. He is a member of the Tigrar, a subspecies of Goro's Shokan race. He serves Shao Kahn as the emperor's bodyguard and a general in Outworld's army. He is voiced by Dave B. Mitchell.
Following Earthrealm's victory in the Mortal Kombat tournament, Shao Kahn sends his armies to attack the Wu Shi Academy in China. Kintaro stands among the commanders of the army. However, the conflict is interrupted when Shao Kahn and Raiden meet to discuss a proposal: a final tournament that will bring an end to Outworld's campaign of conquest forever should Earthrealm be victorious. After the Elder Gods agree to the proposal, the kombatants travel to Outworld where the tournament is to be held at Shao Kahn's Koliseum.
During the tournament, Kintaro fights against Special Forces Major Jax Briggs, who had previously lost his arms to Goro during Shang Tsung's tournament. Jax, now outfitted with mechanical arms to replace the ones he lost, is stronger than ever before and manages to overpower the inhuman Kintaro. In a twist of bloody irony, Jax defeats Kintaro after ripping off his upper arms.
