Lewis Romero was a supporting character in the horror film Final Destination 3. He was a survivor of the Devil's Flight roller coaster derailment and the fourth survivor to die in the film.
History[]
Lewis was a student at McKinley High School in the town of McKinley, Pennsylvania. As the star quarterback of the school football team, he was loudmouthed, arrogant and highly competitive. These traits would come to play a big part in his eventual demise.
In May 2005, Lewis was among several amusement park patrons to board the Devil's Flight roller coaster, only to get off after Wendy Christensen caused a scene when she started screaming that the ride was going to crash. Lewis openly mocked her for her outburst, spurring Kevin Fischer to throw a punch at him. As the two started fighting, Lewis accidentally slapped Erin Ulmer across the face, prompting her boyfriend Ian McKinley to join the fight. As such, they were thrown off the ride and joined Wendy and her friends. The ride then started, and seconds later it would crash, killing everyone who was still on it.
Weeks after the incident, Ashley Freund and Ashlyn Halperin were killed in a freak accident at a tanning salon. Lewis was among those to attend the funeral, telling Kevin after the service how boring it was and that if he ever has to come to his funeral to bring him a PSP. That way, he'd "have something to do".
Death[]
Following the death of Frankie Cheeks, Wendy and Kevin feared that Lewis would be the next to die. They visited Lewis at the gym and told him about their discovery of Death's pattern, but Lewis rebuffed them, claiming the two were seeing things because of the trauma caused by the death of their loved ones, Jason and Carrie.
As Lewis was working out on a bow-flex machine, he began mocking Wendy's idea of Death's plan, stating that he didn't fear Death and that Death actually feared him. In the midst of his rant, one of the other gym patrons who was lifting weights accidentally broke a claw off of a bear statue, which hit another weight lifter in the eye, causing him to drop his weight-lifting bar. The force of the weights caused two decorative swords on the wall above the bow-flex machine to fall and cut through the wires that were holding the weights up, unbeknownst to Lewis and the others. Disbelieving that he was destined to die, and technically challenging Death, Lewis lifted the weights once again, which swung down and crushed his head, spraying blood on Wendy and Kevin.
