Libby is deuteragonist of the dark comedy film Super. She is an avid fan of comic book superheroes and runs a comic store. After discovering that one of her customers, Frank Darbo, has become a masked vigilante known as the Crimson Bolt, Libby convinces Frank to let her be his sidekick and she takes on the name "Boltie". She is portrayed by Elliot Page.
History[]
Libby meets Frank Darbo when he visits her comic book store in search of "research material" for his new superhero identity. While Frank does not tell her directly about his plans, Libby connects the dots after reading about the exploits of the Crimson Bolt in the papers. When Frank is on the run from Jacques' goons, he hides out at Libby's place and tells her everything. Psyched by the fact that she knows a "real superhero", Libby begs Frank to take her on as his sidekick. She designs her own costume and goes by the name "Boltie".
Libby takes her role as a superhero sidekick to almost psychotic extremes, revelling in crippling criminals and failing to call Frank by his hero name out in public. She even goes so far as to seduce Frank and have sex with him, an act that appalls Frank immediately afterwards. Though Libby is hyperactive and reckless, Frank keeps her by his side when he decides to go after Jacques directly and rescue his wife Sarah.
Death[]
When Frank and Libby invade Jacques' ranch, they brutally murder the henchmen stationed outside. Jacques and his business associate Mr. Range send more men outside to deal with the intruders. Frank and Libby are shot at and both fall into the tall grass. Frank was spared any severe damage by his bulletproof vest, but Libby took a shotgun round to the head, destroying half her skull.
