Lisa Trevor is a minor character from Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. Based on the character from the remake of the first Resident Evil game, she was originally a child that had been used as a test subject by the Umbrella Corporation. For decades, Umbrella tested numerous viral strains on her, but she survived and the multiple viruses in her body mutated her into a deformed creature with superhuman strength.

History[]

As a child, Lisa Trevor was placed in the Raccoon City Orphanage after her parents were murdered on the orders of Umbrella's CEO. In 1967, she became one of the company's earliest test subjects as they injected her with the Progenitor Virus. Every other subject exposed to the virus died, but Lisa survived and adapted to it. Further experiments led to Lisa developing superhuman levels of strength, but at the cost of her mental faculties. Over the years of experimentation, Lisa would become increasingly aggressive towards her captors. She even killed a number of researchers and stitched their faces together into a grotesque cowl which she wore to hide her own deformed face.

In 1978, Dr. William Birkin took over as Umbrella's head researcher and was willing to risk the company's prized specimen with further experiments. Lisa was later injected with a parasitic organism that Umbrella were planning to use as a bioweapon augmentation, but Lisa's body absorbed the parasite. This did, however, have the unforeseen effect of Lisa developing the first strain of the G-Virus within her body, which Birkin would spend the remainder of his life working on.

At some point in the mid-to-late 1980s, Lisa managed to escape her laboratory confinement and wandered into the orphanage facility located above. There she encountered a young Claire Redfield. The encounter with Lisa, along with the subsequent actions of her caretakers, traumatized the young Claire, and led to her running away.

By 1995, Trevor had become increasingly hostile and unproductive as a test subject. She was recommended for extermination and disposal by the Umbrella Security Service in 1997, but the team failed and she escaped confinement, fleeing into the now abandoned orphanage. She was deemed too dangerous and further attempts to retrieve or neutralize her were abandoned.

In 1998, during the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City, Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Brian Irons entered the abandoned orphanage in search of the hidden passageway leading to the Spencer Mansion. Lisa appeared before Claire, recognizing her, urging her to stay quiet. It was then, however, that the group were attacked by a Licker and Irons was killed. Leon and Claire fled from the monster, but Lisa came to their aid, attacking the Licker from behind. She stuffed the shackles binding her hands into the Licker's mouth before pulling with all her strength, breaking the creature's jaw and upper spine. With the creature dead, Lisa then led Claire and Leon to an elevator which took them to the secret Umbrella lab beneath the city.

Fate[]

Lisa's death is not shown on-screen, though it can be safely assumed that she finally perished when Umbrella's NEST laboratory self-destructed. The resulting implosion completely levelled the Spencer Mansion and all of Raccoon City, so it is highly unlikely that Lisa, even in her mutated state, could have survived.
