Lord Shen is the main antagonist of the movie Kung Fu Panda 2.
History[]
Long ago, Shen was born into a peacock family who specialized in firework making. However, he had ideas for using his firework expertise for sinister purposes. A female goat soon had a prophecy, if Shen continued this path, he would be defeated by a force of black and white. Fearing the prophecy, he led an army to commit genocide against a panda village. After doing so, he discovered his parents were horrified at what he did end exiled him and his forces. Soon an enraged Shen vowed he would return for revenge and claim what he believed was his.
Years later, Shen and his wolf army are building his ultimate weapon to end Kung Fu, a massive cannon that will match anyone. Soon, Boss Wolf arrives and says they're out of metal. Hearing this, Shen decides to invade many villages for more metal.
Later on, Shen returns to his birth city and showed the three masters his cannon. Thundering Rhino decides to stop him, but gets killed by the cannon. He also imprisons the other two masters. Afterwards, he usurps them and claims his rule with a massive iron fist. Despite this, the Soothsayer refused to believe her prophecy has changed. He laughs it off until Boss Wolf tells him about the difficulties he encountered. Shen is angered, but he keeps his cool and demands to meet Po.
Sometime after his forces capture Po and the Furious Five, Shen is a bit shocked Po isn't threatened by his presence. Soon he makes fun of the fact that Po is unaware of what happened to the village he was born in. Soon, he commands Boss Wolf to destroy the prisoners. However, they manage to escape and fight back. Soon he and Po fight and Po soon discovers he was the reason his tribe was almost wiped out. Shen rubs it in and soon escapes where he commands his forces to destroy them. Unbeknownst to him, they manage to escape.
Later, he says the Soothsayer was wrong and she gets told Po was unable to defeat him. She then asks if he will ever be satisfied, to which he responds it's a start. Despite her begs and pleas, he insists his parents hated him. She rebuffs by saying that they died of grief after he was exiled. Soon the Soothsayer gives up and wishes him joy.
Later when Po and the Furious Five storm the factory, Po decides to get answers and Shen lies by saying they hated him. Afterwards, he blasts Po with a cannon and leaves him for dead.
Soon after learning that his parents were trying to save him, at the cost of his mother's life, Po decides to fight Shen one last time.
Shen is soon revealed to have captured the Furious Five. Soon he sees Po survived the cannon. Enraged, he commands his troops to kill Po. Despite this, Po moves too fast to be hit by them. Soon he rescues the hostages and Shen soon has had enough and commands Boss Wolf to fire, but he knows that he could hurt his species. Shen, on the other hand, doesn't care anymore and kills him. He also fires his cannon which causes everyone to be injured. However, Po is the only one still standing.
Death[]
Soon he and Po begin to fight and Po has achieved inner peace. After destroying many of Shen's cannons, Po tries to tell the peacock that he can chose his own destiny. Shen decides Po is right and choses he path he's already chosen. Later after fighting Po, Shen accidentally cuts the ropes holding his last cannon. After seeing this, he ends up being crushed by the cannon which soon explodes and obliterates what remains of the flagship.
