Myrtle Jenkins was a minor character from the TV series Gotham, appearing in the Season 4 episode "Those Who Hide Behind Masks". She was fanatically obsessed with Edward Nygma and his criminal career as the Riddler. After Nygma had been frozen in a block of ice and used as the centerpiece for the Penguin's Iceberg Lounge, Myrtle freed him and restored him to health.

History[]

After the frozen Edward Nygma had been placed in the Iceberg Lounge as a decoration, Myrtle planned to free him. After staking out the club for months and learning of Penguin's schedule, she put her plan into action, sneaking into the club and using a blowtorch to cut open the block of ice containing Nygma. She then took Nygma back to her apartment to heal him.

When Nygma awoke, he found himself unable to move due to his muscles atrophying in the ice, so Myrtle used heat lamps to steadily thaw him and used acupuncture to stimulate his muscles. In order to stimulate his mind, she posed several riddles to him, but he kept getting them wrong. Myrtle feared that being on ice for so long had damaged Nygma's brain, but Nygma insisted that his brain was fine and that Myrtle couldn't give him decent riddles to solve. Having finally recovered enough to move, Edward grabbed Myrtle's riddle book and struck her across the face with it, knocking her out.

Death[]

After Myrtle came to, she found herself before the Penguin and Victor Zsasz, who had discovered that she was responsible for freeing Nygma. Penguin decided to have his men hunt Nygma down while he left Myrtle's fate to Zsasz, who gleefully shot her while she was bound and helpless.
