The nexu is a feline beast from the Star Wars universe that appears in Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. Its most distinguishing features are its forked, almost rat-like tail, its four eyes and wide mouth filled with sharp fangs. Native to the planet Cholganna, one nexu was seen in the Petranaki Arena on Geonosis along with a reek and an acklay during the attempted execution of Padme Amidala, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Nexu are notoriously vicious, as the one in the arena demonstrated when it pounced upon and killed its Geonosian handler. Though the nexu managed to wound Padme by scratching her back with its claws, the prisoners all managed to survive until Jedi reinforcements arrived to put an end to Count Dooku's separatist schemes. During the battle inside the arena, the nexu was killed when the reek creature began running wild in the arena, trampling over the smaller feline beast.
