Movie Morgue Wiki

Olaf is a minor character from the horror-comedy film Cocaine Bear. He and his fiance Elsa were vacationing in the United States in 1985, hitch-hiking between various states to explore the country's various forests and national parks. While hiking through Chattahoochee–Oconee National Forest in Georgia, they came across an American black bear. As the two admired the animal from a distance, they noticed it exhibiting strange behaviour, pawing at its face in irritation and even bashing its head against a tree. Little did the couple know that the bear had recently eaten several pounds of cocaine that had been dumped out of an airplane, hence its abnormal behaviour.

As Olaf tried to take some photographs with his camera, the bear noticed the couple and reacted aggressively. Elsa panicked and started running away, ignoring Olaf's advice about fighting back against black bears. The bear rushed after the couple, catching up to Elsa and dragging her into some bushes. Olaf watched in horror as Elsa was brutally mauled to death before running away while the intoxicated bear was distracted by a butterfly.

The following evening, Olaf was discovered in the woods by Sari McKinnry and Henry. He asked for their help and Sari asked if he had seen her daughter Dee Dee in the area. Olaf pointed in the direction of a nearby cave, telling Sari that the "devil bear" made its lair there. Olaf offered Sari a flashlight as she ventured into the cave to find Dee Dee, but was too afraid to follow her inside.

Death[]

Olaf is mauled to death by the Cocaine Bear off-screen a short time after Sari and Henry go into the cave. His shredded remains are later found by Syd White and his crew after Reba trips over his corpse.
