Paul Oswald (portrayed by Gerard Plunkett) was a supporting character in Snakes on a Plane. He was an arrogant and entitled British businessman and a passenger on South Pacific Flight Hulu 1-2-1. He took annoyance to almost everything, such as being relegated to coach instead of first class due to an FBI presence on board, to being seated between a woman with her child and a woman with a Chihuahua.

When Hulu 1-2-1 departs from Honolulu, Hawaii, no one is aware that gangster Eddie Kim has planted a large number of venomous snakes aboard in order to eliminate Sean Jones, who witnessed him commit a murder. The snakes are driven crazy by a special pheromone sprayed upon the leis that the passengers are wearing. A short time into the flight, the snakes are released from their crate in the cargo hold and slither freely throughout the plane.

As the situation deteriorates aboard the plane, the passengers evacuate the coach and head upstairs to first class for their own safety. However, the stairs collapse from too much weight and a large Burmese python is waiting on the coach deck ready to strike. Terrified, as well as annoyed by the constant yapping of Mercedes Harbont's dog Mary-Kate, Paul grabs the Chihuahua and throws it towards the python as bait to distract it from the passengers. Mercedes is enraged, but Paul claims that any one of the passengers would have done it by that point. Unfortunately for Paul, the python makes rather short work of Mary-Kate and attacks him next, wrapping around his body and squeezing to render him immobile before attempting to swallow him whole.
