Pennywise the Dancing Clown is the main antagonist of It (1990). While he appears as a human dressed as a clown, he is actually a shapeshifting trans-dimensional monster that feeds on the fear of other beings.
History[]
Pennywise is first encountered when Georgie Denbrough loses his brother's paper boat. Soon he sees the clown in a storm drain. After a while, Pennywise attacks and kills the boy. Soon Pennywise appears and terrorized seven kids. Later on, Pennywise scares the Losers Club by appearing in Mike's photo album.
Later on the Losers Club face off against Pennywise in the sewers where the clown kills Belch Huggins and Vic Criss. Soon the club manages to force Pennywise deeper into the sewers.
30 years later, Pennywise attacks and kills a young girl. Hearing their nemesis has returned, Stan Uris ends his life. Soon the remaining members of the Losers Club are attacked at a Chinese restaurant. After that, Pennywise captures and hypnotizes Audra. Later Pennywise manipulates Henry Bowers into murdering an asylum worker and seek his revenge. After visiting an injured Mike after he kills Henry Bowers, the Losers Club decide to end Pennywise once and for all.
Death[]
Later on, the Losers Club find the lair of Pennywise and see the clown is in a giant spider form. Soon they begin to fight the giant spider. Eddie Kaspbrak decides to kill It with his inhaler once again, but the spider fatally injures him. Soon the Losers Club remove the heart after Beverly cuts into the spider and after that, crush the heart.
