Pete Dolgen is a character from the fourth season of The Walking Dead. He and his brother Mitch are members of a group of survivors led by Caesar Martinez. He is portrayed by Enver Gjokaj.

History[]

Pete appears in the episode "Dead Weight". Before the apocalypse, he served in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Benning. When Benning was overrun, Pete fled and joined up with his brother Mitch and they have been surviving together ever since.

At an unknown point, Pete and Mitch joined a group of other survivors in West Georgia and made themselves useful as hunters. While Pete fought well against the undead, he was less than prepared to deal with other survivors, especially in regards to assaulting others in order to take their supplies to provide for his group.

When the Governor joined the group and secretly killed Martinez, Pete appointed himself as temporary leader of the camp until they decide on a voting system. He struggles to prove himself as a competent leader and his compassion towards survivors outside of his group causes the others to view him as weak.

Death and reanimation[]

Zombie Pete

One day, the Governor visits Pete's camper van to discuss Mitch's behaviour. However, no discussion is had: the Governor stabs Pete and then strangles him. He hides the murder from the rest of the camp by dumping Pete's body in the river and chains his legs.

Pete reanimates as a zombie, but the chains hold him down and prevent him from getting out of the water.
